Teaching Philosophy

I believe that I am called to teach. Being in the classroom provides me with the opportunity to draw from my previous work experiences with media production and technology companies. I am energized by the interest and eagerness that most students bring to the classroom. At the same time, I appreciate the challenge of the reluctant student, and here I strive to spark an interest not previously recognized.

Whether teaching a graphic design or media production course, I set out to provide students with a solid foundation of the subject matter. It is my intention that students gain an insight as to how a particular theory or premise was formed and its application, so they can utilize this knowledge moving forward.
